Boundary-pushing bold new design

Wattle Court Sydney North has stepped away from its traditional Hamptons-style designs to unveil a bold and boundary-pushing project, a Palm Springs-inspired flagship home.

This mid-century modern masterpiece, designed in collaboration with renowned stylist Dani from The Make Haus, represents a daring new chapter for the custom homebuilder.

Retro aesthetics with modern functionality

Combining retro aesthetics with modern functionality, the home is a celebration of design innovation, with standout features like a terracotta-toned kitchen, a vibrant yellow bathroom, and the signature use of “lazy arches” throughout.

Stepping outside the box

Daisy Lawler, Finishes Manager at Wattle Court Sydney North, said it’s a design departure that signals Wattle Court’s readiness to take on even the most ambitious client visions.

“We really wanted to show what’s possible when you step outside the box. This home was a chance for us to take risks, play with bold colours, and prove that great design can push boundaries without losing functionality,” she said.

1960s retro inspiration

The heart of the home, a striking pink kitchen inspired by 1960s retro designs, set the tone for the entire project. Crafted using Cosentino’s Dekton Umber, a durable porcelain material in a unique pinky terracotta hue, the kitchen merges nostalgia with practicality.

Another bold design element is the yellow bathroom, featuring a customised microcement finish imported from France.

“The yellow bathroom was one of the most technically challenging spaces to create, but the end result is stunning – a seamless, visually striking design that’s both functional and full of personality,” said Daisy.

“Our trusted partnerships with exceptional suppliers and skilled craftsmen, built over many years, are the cornerstone of our success in bringing projects like this to life.”

Redefining what is possible

Matt Hope, CEO of Wattle Court, described the project as a defining moment for the company, showcasing both the depth of expertise within their teams and the collaborative spirit of the brand.

“This flagship home is more than just a bold design, it’s a testament to the creativity, craftsmanship, and vision that define Wattle Court. The Sydney North team has set a new standard for what we can achieve, demonstrating how we can turn even the most ambitious concepts into reality,” Matt said.

He also emphasised the broader significance of the project, noting how it reflects the company’s evolving capabilities and inspires confidence in their ability to deliver bespoke, world-class homes.

“While this home is visually striking, its real impact lies in the message it sends, it redefines what’s possible with custom design and offers potential clients a glimpse into the future of homebuilding.”
